A customer story from Fleetune’s home market in Korea. Originally published on the Fleetune Korea blog in November 2024 and adapted for English-speaking readers.
Every franchise restaurant depends on a delivery it rarely thinks about.
Before the first order of the day, the walk-in needs to be stocked: chicken, sauces, produce, packaging. When the truck is late, the store feels it at the fryer. When the wrong items come off the truck, someone at headquarters hears about it.
Kyochon, one of Korea’s best-known fried chicken brands, founded in 1991, runs that delivery for franchise stores across the country. To plan and manage it, Kyochon’s logistics team brought in Fleetune TMS.
The goal was straightforward: take a complex, recurring distribution operation and put it on one digital system, so the team could plan more precisely and give franchise owners a more reliable service.
The problem: many stores, the same trucks, every day
Franchise supply delivery is a repeating puzzle. Each day brings a new set of store orders, a fixed fleet of refrigerated trucks, and drivers who need clear routes before they leave the dock.
A franchise food distribution TMS connects those pieces: it takes the stores’ orders and the vehicles’ conditions and turns them into a dispatch plan and delivery routes that can be repeated, checked, and improved.
What Kyochon runs on Fleetune
Kyochon runs on Fleetune’s Korean product, and its deployment covers the delivery from planning through settlement. Some of the features below were configured specifically for Kyochon’s operation:
- Route and dispatch planning. Fleetune builds the dispatch and route plan automatically, assigning stores to trucks and sequencing each route to shorten delivery time.
- Turn-by-turn guidance for drivers. Kyochon’s drivers use in-app navigation in the Korean Fleetune driver app to follow the planned route. In the same app, drivers confirm the items they load and unload at each store and record returned items picked up on the way.
- Fleet visibility for headquarters. Kyochon’s head office can see the location and status of its delivery trucks nationwide in real time.
- Live tracking for store owners. Through a recipient tracking link, franchise owners can see where their truck is and when it is expected to arrive.
- Proof-of-delivery photos. When a driver completes a delivery and takes a photo, it is sent to the store owner, who can confirm the delivery right away.
- Vehicle settlement. The actual distance driven and tolls paid are recorded for each truck, giving the team accurate figures for settling delivery costs.

Planning together, with the data on the screen

Kyochon’s logistics team meets to work through the plan using the same data the system uses. They look at how routes are laid out, where each vehicle’s time goes, and where a route could run more efficiently.
That shared view is what makes the delivery process smoother and faster: the conversation starts from what the routes actually look like, not from memory.
Watching the day as it happens

Kyochon’s trucks load out of its distribution center in the Seoul metropolitan area. Fleetune tracks each truck’s path and delivery status in real time, so the team can see how deliveries to stores nationwide are going and respond when something changes.
Training on the dock and in the cab

Rollout happened where the work happens. Kyochon’s head of logistics went out to the trucks, checked the vehicles, and sat with drivers to go through their routes in the Fleetune driver app.

With faster, more accurate navigation in hand, drivers can work through their stops efficiently, and the delivery process as a whole becomes more organized.
What’s next
